Description: Soulshadow stands 7 feet tall, tall even for an elf. He dresses completely in black: Black tunic, black vest, black pants, and black boots. He covers this with a long, flowing, black hooded cloak. He usually has the hood up over his head, so that his features are indistinguishable. if one could see his features, he would have long black hair, the color of jet. his eyes would normally be black, but they glow blood red when he is angered, and when he is in dark places.

Past: much of Soulshadow's past is shrouded in mystery. it is known by a few, however, that he is an outcast of his race, and whether by that or by a birth defect has been stripped of the affinity for magic that is common in most elves and half elves. It is also known that he was at one time a member of the Lost Order of the Assassins of the Shadow, but he disappeared for awhile after the Order was disbanded. the name of Soulshadow was assumed when he became a Slayer of the Order, and his real name is known to no one but himself. He also appears to have a certain dislike for the Monks of Silvador, though the source of this hatred is unknown. At some point in the past, the Monks sent men to kill him. All were found dead.

Personality: Soulshadow is very antisocial. He does not typically associate with people unless they are either paying him or dying by his hand. sometimes he kills for money, but there are times when he takes lives appearantly for his own enjoyment. He does not take pleasure in the pain of his victims, preferring instead to make sure they die. the only exception to this rule appears to be Monks of Silvador, who he kills slowly, violently, and appearantly without provocation or cause. 

Weapons and Abilities: Soulshadow has a mastery of many weapons and fighting styles, but his personal preference is the katana he carries on his back. he also carries a wakizashi knife at his belt, and several other knives of various lengths that can be used for throwing and melee combat. he does, however, have the ability to pick up and use any weapon he comes across, and he can adapt to many situations. He wears little armor, instead relying on speed and stealth to aid him in combat situations. His Cloak of Darkness allows him to blend into dark shadows, to an extent. He has excellent night vision, and it is rumored that he can see even in total darkness.

Weaknesses: although Soulshadow is partially of elven origin, he has been cast out, so he no longer has the affinity for magic that is a trademark of his race. therefore, he has no magical talent, and though he has passing knowledge of the effects of spells, he doesn't have much of a defense against them. mostly, he carries some items or talismans to ward off the nastier effects, but in all reality, his magical defense is nil. his major magical weakness is thunder magic, because it hurts his eyes.
