The Constitution of #Reploid_Productions

We, the founders of the IRC channel, #Reploid_Productions, of Espernet, have decided after much debate and effort to create this set of rules and guidelines to guide the chatters to a place of peace and fairness and stuff like that so blah.

Article I-
Concerning fighting

* Fighting of a serious nature is NOT permitted, at any time. Anyone caught fighting/trying to start a fight will be warned once. If this does not bring a stop to it, they will be warned once again and kicked out once. If this still fails to stop the fight, they will be put on AKICK from #Reploid_Productions for 3 days. This sentence doubles for each repeat offense, from 3 days to 6 days, from 6 to 12, and so on.

* ALL chatters are subject to the above action, regardless of who started the fight, who's "right", or who's "wrong", and regardless of one's status within the channel. Channel operators are just as subject to these rules, not exempt from them.

Article II-
Concerning Operator status

* Permanent operator status is given and/or removed at the sole discretion of the channel owners- Firefury and One. However, in most cases, such status (level 5 automatic ops) is given provided the person meets the following guidelines-
* That they are trusted members of the chat.
* That they are regular members of the chat.
* That they are longtime members of the chat.

* Temporary ops may be given by any channel op for games of IRC Soccer, ONLY.

* For games of IRC Soccer, they begin when either-
* Firefury or One declares Soccer on someone who has annoyed/angered a majority of the chat regulars. (Also known as a lamer). Or...
* A majority of the channel aops agree to declare Soccer.

* Bans may be issued by channel ops only with approval from Firefury or One. AKICKs may be issued by Firefury and One ONLY. In the event that they are not present, channel ops may take the appropriate actions described in this constitution.

Article III-
Concerning Hentai and other offenses

* Hentai is broken into three categories-
* Minor hentai- (IE- comments about "sitting in a tree" or non-graphic wisecracks with hentai meaning) This is tolerated at all times.
* Moderate hentai- (IE- slightly graphic wisecracks with hentai meaning) This is allowed after 9:30 pm Pacific time only due to a reduced risk of younger children coming in by mistake.
* Serious hentai- (IE- actually cybering or graphic descriptions.) This is NOT tolerated at all and will result in an immediate kick.

* The founders, Firefury and One, retain the power to kick/ban/akick anyone at their discretion, should something arise that does not fall under any of the offenses outlined in this document.

* Bad language is allowed to a point. Overuse of foul language will result in a kick/warning and a possible ban if the person continues.

* Spamming will earn a warning. If continued, Soccer may be declared and a ban/akick may be instated.

Article IV-
Concerning bots and freespeech

* Bots are allowed, but floodbots and/or spambots will be removed.

* A person owns their bot. If someone has a problem with the bot, go to the bot owner, not the channel ops about it.

* Please use bots responsibly. If someone asks you to lighten up or stop using the bot, please listen. Overuse of a bot floods and can lag the bot and bot owner. If an op warns you to lay off of the bot(s), do so. Use of bots, whether your own or others, to flood, will result in a kick and possibly a kick/ban if it continues.

* Everyone has a right to their opinion. Even if that opinion is in the minority, they have a right to say it. However, there is a fine line between expressing an educated and respectful opinion and making an uneducated, rude, and disrespectful comment. Debate is allowed, but not a mudslinging fight. (Refer to Article I above about fights).

Article V-
The #Reploid_Productions Bill of Chatters' Rights

-1-
All chatters have a right to a peaceful chatroom. (Refer to Article I)

-2-
All chatters have a right to own/use a bot (refer to Article IV)

-3-
All chatters have a right to express an opinion without fear. (Refer to Article IV)

The Amendments

Amendment I
(Ratified December 28th, 2000)

Two or more parties insulting and/or slandering the other back and forth is considered trying to start a fight and is subject to the rules mentioned in Article I. Attacked parties are entitled to defend themselves. Insulting in return is not “defending” and will not be considered as “defending”. Defending oneself is denying the insults’ nature and providing proof of their falsehood. No parties are entitled to “fight back”. Fighting back will incriminate the person(s) and will result in actions mentioned in Article I. Effective immediately.

Amendment II
(Ratified December 28th, 2000)

Harassment of users in the chat room will not be tolerated and will result in kicking, banning, or AKICKing. Also, victims will be advised to talk to IRC Operators in the event harassment continues outside of the chat room or if the nature of the harassment is severe enough. Effective immediately.

Amendment III
(Ratified December 28th, 2000)

Article IV, Section 1 (Bots are allowed, but floodbots and/or spambots will be removed.) is no longer effective. All bots MUST be cleared with One and Firefury, due to violation of Article IV, Section 3 (Please use bots responsibly. If someone asks you to lighten up or stop using the bot, please listen. Overuse of a bot floods and can lag the bot and bot owner. If an op warns you to lay off of the bot(s), do so. Use of bots, whether your own or others, to flood, will result in a kick and possibly a kick/ban if it continues.) Failing to gain permission will result in kicking and or banning the bot. Effective January 1st, 2001.

Amendment IV
(Ratified December 28th, 2000)

There is no “appealing” to a “higher court” regarding issues in the chat room. The founders (One and Firefury) decision(s) is/are final. Attempted appeals, begging, or otherwise trying to avoid punishment or change their decision(s) will be frowned upon and may result in actions being taken against the party or parties involved. #Reploid_Productions is NOT a democracy (Government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is retained and directly exercised by the people.). We are an oligarchy (A form of government in which the supreme power is placed in the hands of a few persons; also, those who form the ruling few.).

Amendment V
(Ratified January 7th, 2002)

Article II has been revised. Operator status is given based on applications submitted at the correct time. Temporary operator status is given during soccer, or when Firefury and One are going to be gone for an extended period of time. Temporary operator status has no bearing on the possibility of becoming a channel operator.

EsperNet

#Reploid_Productions does its best to comply with the EsperNet User Policy (http://www.esper.net/documents/policy.html) and will inform IRC Operators of any violations of this policy if requested to do so or if the founders (One and Firefury) see fit to. Violation of the EsperNet User Policy may also violate this constitution.

Ignorance

Ignorance of the law excuses no one. This information is publicly available and it is therefore assumed all users have read and agreed to abide by this constitution and the EsperNet User Policy.

Claw is the chat bot. Don't abuse him. We'll hurt you if you hurt Claw generally- assuming Claw doesn't hurt you back.

Some commands everyone can use are:
Claw quote
Claw calculate!
Claw set (insert name) - example Claw set One
Claw read (insert name) - example Claw read Firefury
Claw bop (insert name) - example Claw bop One
Claw define

He has many, many more commands, but those are some of the more often used ones. When in doubt, ask! ^-^
