Technical and Historical Notes

Manufactured by the Winner Corporation as part of a joint venture with the Mars Defense Corps, the MDC-HES10 helped speed up the migration of people from Earth to Mars, as the revolutionary High Energy Output hydroengine systems developed for the craft cut the travel time from months to a tiny fraction of that. While expensive to produce, and more expensive to purchase, these shuttles form the backbone of much of the interplanetary transit system, and most are based out of the Mars Sphere. They are far less common in the Earth Sphere, and all but nonexistant in the Venus Sphere, as budgets following the acid storm disaster were far too tight to include any of these high-cost craft. There is also a newer version, the MDC-HES10b High Energy Output Shuttle, but this faster successor to the MDC-HES10 is not available on the market.
