Technical and Historical Notes
In preparation of the
expected conflict with Venus, Mars governor Milliardo Peacecraft, with
funding from the Winner Corporation, secretly designed and built
several new Gundams to meet the threat. Prototype Mobile Suits, Inc,
already well regarded by the governor for their refit of his Tallgeese
mobile suit, was again hired to
design and help build these new Gundams. One of the first was the
Gundam "Star-Streak".
Easily the most basic of the new Gundams, the Star-Streak was designed
with the possibility of a mass-production version in mind. While this
never came to pass, the Gundam itself served as a well-rounded unit on
both the ground and in space. Its most noteable weapons were the two
beam boomerangs, which could serve as both melee and medium-range
throwing weapons. With a handheld armament including a megacannon like
the one made famous by the Tallgeese III, the Star-Streak provided
simple but effective combat potential.
Following the theft of the Tallgeese by his daughter Sidra, Milliardo
took command of the Star-Streak until the Epyon
II was finished. After that, the unit was begrudgingly handed over
to Siduri, and would serve as his unit until later in the war.
