Technical and Historical Notes
When terraformation first
began on Mars, it became the new frontier and a haven for people of
various criminal intent. To combat these criminals, many of which had
mobile suits, the government authorized the creation of a small mobile
suit police force, later to be known as the Mars Defense Corps. One of
the first suits involved was the Tallgeese III which had earned fame
during the Eve Wars when it singlehandedly destroyed the resource
satellite MO-III. After a few years of heavy use within the Corps, this
famous mobile suit was given a massive overhaul by the then-fledgling
group Prototype Mobile Suits, Inc, upgrading it to the Tallgeese Custom.
The most noteworthy additions to the new Tallgeese are an upgraded twin megacannon, and a new Vernier II booster system, a more fuel-efficient thrust system. In regular combat operation, the new boosters have an output nearly identical to the original system, but in prolonged operation, the boosters enable the suit to enter orbit under its own power, and even enable high-risk interplanetary flight, as demonstrated when Milliardo's daughter Sidra stole the unit and took it from Mars to Earth.
The Tallgeese would spend the greater part of AC 216 in Sidra's hands on Earth, and was involved in chasing down Yoshino in the stolen FalconWing in September of that year. It would also participate in the Une Conflict, providing cover while the Preventers evacuated into space, and baffling Earth Defense Organization commander Josie Selvaggio, pilot of the Tallgeese Sigma, a weaker variant of the powerful Martian suit. Upon its return to Mars, Milliardo would resume piloting the suit, and Sidra became the pilot of the OZ-13MS2 Epyon II.
